About Our Furniture Donations Columbus and Atlanta

Buying new furniture? Getting ready to move? Just need to make space? 

Donate your old furniture to Dylans Couch Drops! After pick up, we donate a portion of all profits and furniture to Military Families in Columbus GA and surrounding areas. While we can’t provide a donation receipt we can help your old furniture have the biggest impact as quickly as possible. Since many non-profits have a limited service range or are backed up on pick-ups we hope to help by providing a quick turnaround on removal while still benefiting families.

DylansCouchDrops makes furniture donations easy. We work around your schedule and pick up old furniture from your home or office and haul it away. There’s no need to drag it out to the curb yourself.

Worried about the condition of your couch? Don’t be. Even if your couch does not meet our donation requirements, we can haul it away for you for a fee and will still donate a portion of profits and furniture to military families in need.

When Should You Submit the Form?

While we have a quick turnaround time it’s still best to submit the form as soon as you can. We are able to schedule pick ups multiple weeks out to better align with your schedule and can always move or cancel if needed. Requesting a pick up is free so there is no cost to you in the instance you cancel your scheduled appointment.

Please Note

Furniture that is older, seriously damaged or stained is subject to a removal fee. Submitting the removal request form helps us assess if we will need to charge a fee

The only items we don’t currently remove are bed framesmattresses, and large entertainment centers.

Furniture Removal FAQs

How to know if my couch qualifies for FREE removal.

Our free pickup service is for couches with minor wear and tear that are NOT patterned. Non-permanent stains and pet hair are acceptable and it is ok to have minor tears along seams and concealed areas (e.g. back of the couch).

Furniture that has peeling bonded leather, severe pet damage, broken frames, mechanics, large rips, permanent stains, incomplete sectionals, or smoke damage may be subject to a fee.

What disqualifies me from FREE removal?

Things Our Team Looks For

  • Outdated designs (e.g floral/patterned couches)
  • Peeling faux or bonded leather
  • Severe pet damage (e.g. accidents, excessive hair, odors, etc.)
  • Broken frames
  • Broken mechanics
  • Large rips or tears
  • Severe wear and tear
  • Smoke or other odors
  • Incomplete sectionals​

How much will it cost if I don't qualify for free removal?

Couch Removal Fees

  • Gently Used – FREE
  • Fair Condition (light damage and cleaning required) – $75 + tax
  • Bad Condition or an Outdated Design – $150 + tax
  • Sleeper Sofa – $175 + tax

Note: furniture that is an old design or seriously damaged requires a higher fee since we won’t be able to resell the item. Resale is how we cover operational expenses and make donations.

Sectional & Couch Set Removal Fees

Base Fees

  • Gently Used – FREE
  • Fair Condition (light damage and cleaning required) – $125 + tax
  • Bad Condition or an Old Design (2-3 Pieces) – $175 + tax
  • Bad Condition or an Old Design (4-5 Pieces) – $200 + tax
  • Bad Condition or an Old Design (6+ Pieces) – $225 + tax

Add-On Sectional & Couch Set Fees

  • Bad Condition or an Old Design (Built-In Recliner) – Add $75 + tax
  • Bad Condition or an Old Design (Sleeper Sectional) – Add $75 + tax

Add-On Furniture Removal Fees

  • Small Furniture Item- $25 + tax
  • Medium Furniture Item – $50 + tax
  • Large Furniture Item – $100 + tax

Note: not all add-on items require a fee (e.g side tables that are part of a pick up for a gently used couch can have the fee waived)

Distance Fees

  • Pick up within 20 miles of our store – FREE
  • Pick up within 21-25 miles – $50 + tax
  • Pick up within 26-30 miles – $75 + tax
  • Pick up within 31-35 miles – $100 + tax
  • Pick up within 36-40 miles – $125 + tax

Note: At this time we can only remove gently used sectionals and couch sets over 30 miles away.

Additional details:

We can only be so accurate when estimating fees based on the images you provide. Because of this our team has final say on what qualifies for a fee. When our team arrives for removal they will inspect your furniture based on the information you shared with us and may charge a fee for something we didn’t see in the images (e.g. broken couch leg). In the instance our team determines there will be an additional fee at pick up you have the option to reject service at no cost to you.

We aim to keep our prices competitive. If you find another professional service that removes for less than us, let us know and we will beat their price.

Except in the instance above, all fees are non-negotiable.

In an effort to avoid potential infestations we reserve the right to reject a pickup for any reason after inspecting the couch.
